Bilbao, October.9th.2025 – The past Saturday, our partner AIC-Automotive Intelligence Center in Amorebieta-Etxano hosted a new edition of the Open Day on Automotive and Sustainable Mobility, organized by ACICAE – Basque Country Automotive Cluster, in collaboration with AIC and with the support of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia.
The event brought together more than 1,800 participants, including families, students and professionals, who had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the Basque automotive sector, its impact on the region, and the technological and professional opportunities it offers.
Throughout the day, visitors enjoyed activities for all ages, combining fun, innovation, and learning. Highlights included Formula 1 and bicycle simulators, electric karts, a giant Scalextric, an exhibition of classic cars (Mercedes, Torre Loizaga…), LEGO areas and gymkhanas, as well as AI workshops, road safety circuits, and the participation of Formula Student, Euskelec, and Bike Talent teams.
Attendees also took part in guided tours of leading companies such as Gestamp, CIE Automotive, Walterpack and CAF, as well as the AIC competence centers: the Virtual Development Center (VDC), Automotive Smart Factory (ASF), New Energy Vehicle Center (NEVC), and Bike Competence Center (BCC).
The event also featured a food area and a welcoming atmosphere that turned the day into a meeting point between industry and society, bringing automotive knowledge, technology, and innovation closer to the public.
With this initiative, ACICAE and AIC reaffirm their commitment to knowledge dissemination, talent development, and sustainable mobility, strengthening the connection between new generations and one of the key industrial sectors in the Basque Country.
