{"id":7936,"date":"2024-01-19T10:58:47","date_gmt":"2024-01-19T09:58:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.acicae.es\/en\/blog\/?p=7936"},"modified":"2025-06-26T20:37:43","modified_gmt":"2025-06-26T19:37:43","slug":"autoflex-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.acicae.es\/en\/blog\/autoflex-project","title":{"rendered":"Autoflex Project"},"content":{"rendered":"Bilbao, January, 19th, 2024 \u2013 From ACICAE \u2013 Basque Country Automotive Cluster<\/strong> we coordinate the AUTOFLEX project<\/strong>, in collaboration with TRIMEK, SISTEPLANT, the Energy Cluster of the Basque Country (ACE) and AIC-Automotive Intelligence Center<\/strong>.\r\n\r\nOBJECTIVES\/SCOPE<\/strong>\r\n\r\nThe main objective<\/strong> of the project is to develop a complex system that will enable the smart factory of the future to adapt to the changing needs of the market, focusing on achieving Zero Defect Manufacturing (ZDM), high quality maintenance and energy efficiency. To achieve this goal, extensive research will be carried out and innovative solutions will be implemented in different key areas. Different work packages will be worked on for the successful completion of the project.\r\n\r\nThe ultimate goal<\/strong> of the project is to develop and validate a collaborative model that enables the validation of intelligent systems and tooling in the production and quality control of advanced in-line components, linked to advanced maintenance, in order to achieve process efficiency and sustainability. The aim is to obtain a complex system that gives the smart factory of the future the flexibility to meet market demand, focusing on zero defect manufacturing (ZDM), high quality maintenance and energy efficiency. Ultimately, the aim is to improve the factory\u2019s ability to adapt to changing needs, optimising production processes, quality control and maintenance, and ensuring energy efficiency along the entire production line.\r\n\r\nIMPACT<\/strong>\r\n\r\nThis project has a high degree of appropriateness and detail of the impact of the action on the value chain of companies (customers and suppliers), especially, its results can be applied in all links of the traditional chain and drive the model towards a more advanced and digital model, all based on the development of a collaborative model that allows validation of intelligent systems and tools in the control of production. This will result in a more flexible model that will improve the relationship and transfer of services and materials between suppliers and customers (upstream and downstream), allowing the capacity of a factory to be adapted to the changing needs of the market and connecting the entire production process, including maintenance and management of the energy demand of production equipment.
