The Basque automotive component industry is one of the most competitive and innovative. Management levels are comparable to the world’s best, being remarkably efficient and effective.

Some 300 companies bill more than 10 thousand million euros and provide jobs for more than 60,000 people, 40,000 of them in the Baque Country itself. Not forgetting Daimler Vitoria, where 3,000 employees produce some 100,000 vehicles every year.

One major new feature in the region is the AIC-Automotive Intelligence Center, a unique value generation centre that is acting as a channel for cooperation within the industry as a whole in areas such as knowledge, training, technology and industrial development.
